Court Admissions

Mr. Ewing is admitted to all state and federal courts within the Commonwealth of Kentucky. He is also admitted to practice before the United States Tax Court.

Past Work

Prior to establishing his own firm, Mr. Ewing was the sole family law attorney in a small local firm. Before that, Mr. Ewing was a Staff Attorney to the Hon. Jo Ann Wise, Chief Judge of the Fayette Circuit Family Court.  While in law school, Mr. Ewing worked as Research Assistant to two law professors and was a Summer Associate at the Monumental Life Insurance Company (an AEGON Company) in Louisville.

Ross Ewing is an experienced family law attorney who helps families through difficult issues every day. By presenting his clients and their families with fair, livable, and workable solutions, he empowers them to move on from these situations.

In families with other types of transitions, Mr. Ewing walks people through the probate process after losing loved ones, or provides help and guidance in all types of adoptions.

Mr. Ewing is an active member of the American, Kentucky, and Fayette County Bar Associations. He is a member of the KBA Donated Legal Services Committee, the KBA Young Lawyers Section Diversity Committee, and the ABA Young Lawyers Division Access to Legal Services Committee.

In 2010, the Fayette County Bar asked Mr. Ewing to address the incoming class of new attorneys at their swearing-in ceremony. For the past three years, he has served as a volunteer attorney for the Kentucky Grandparents as Parents Conference.

Outside of his professional life, Mr. Ewing is an active community volunteer. He serves as a tutor/mentor for the Carnegie Center, is on the Board of Directors at AVOL (AIDS Volunteers), and is active in his church community.

Mr. Ewing earned his Juris Doctor law degree from the University of Kentucky in 2008.  At graduation, he was honored with the 2008 Faculty Cup, given by the law school faculty to one member of each graduating class in recognition of outstanding leadership and service to the school.  Mr. Ewing was the inaugural recipient of the Paul Van Booven Memorial Fellowship and won several awards for his legal writing skills.  Among his many other activities while in law school, Mr. Ewing was a member of the National Moot Court Team and the founder and president of the student legal interest group, “UK OUTlaw.” 

Mr. Ewing received his Bachelor of Arts degree, summa cum laude, in French Literature from the University of Kentucky in 2005.  He was elected to Phi Beta Kappa in his junior year and was also a Gaines Fellow, a National Merit Scholar, and a member of the University of Kentucky Symphony Orchestra.  Mr. Ewing spent one term studying – entirely in French - at l’Université d’Aïx-Marsailles III in Aïx-en-Provence, France.
